Sorry for of topic, but maybe you still have the original minibb First Page News add-on you worked with. The new version on their site is compatible only with the newest minibb software. If yes, maybe you could sent it to my email.

You 'll find all wordpress releases in this page for download. Still i wouldn't try to have my site in WP 2.5 mostly for security reasons. Have also in mind that there will be the new WP 2.7 soon. But you can test the synchronization and -if you don't bother- let me know how it goes.

many thanks for answering my question. it gives me some perspective on where i am with my por
problem. still i think you can give me some support. do you have any spare version of
wordpress 2.5 that is working so i can do some testings. if so could you forward me a copy of
it since i can’t find it on the wordpress site.

Hi lilian,

Synchronizing miniBB with wordpress is not my strongest point. You are correct about the link and i have tested it with WP 2.5.X but when i re-tested it with WP 2.6 i didnt manage to synchronize it. As far as i know wordpress changed a few things in user cookies but i cannot tell you for sure if miniBB’s solution will work. I havent succeed it in my tests. Personally, i do not need to have them both synchronized as i am the only user of my blog and i want to have other users only in my forums so i didn’t went “deep” to see what i could do with it. I only care about website integration.

Best thing you could do is go to minibb’s official forums and ask Paul (the author of miniBB) for detailed instructions about synchronizing miniBB and wordpress. Have in mind that latest version WordPress (WP 2.6) has come with changes on user’s cookies and login way and, even if you find a solution, it’s possible that a new version of wordpress may change it again. This is not only a miniBB’s problem but every forum script that needs to be synchronized. Till recently, even bbPress could not synchronized with the latest WP 2.6.X.

hello friend. huh, let me breath first and grasp a little air. i’ve run all about integrating wordpress and minibb and came accross your site. my problem is that i want to test how to install the miniBB ontop of the wordpress platform and at the end, after i make everythin (i guess so) as written in the readme for syncronising the two i fail to enter to the minibb forum because it is saying that i have not entered correct login and password. do you have any idea.
